The Annotated Updated Ammended Appended Unofficial Rulebook for All Working Dog EvaluationsWe're working on this annotated version of Schutzhund rules. It's targeted to the newbie in the sport: much may be redundant to experienced trial participants, but we're hoping everyone will find it useful. Our sources include the USA Rulebook, the DVG Rulebook, discussion with judges, personal experience, email communications with the Director of Judges, the out-of-print booklets Schutzhund (Annotated) and Through the Judges Eyes by MacINNES & BADYK and various articles and columns in Schutzhund USA. The purpose of this unofficial cyber-manual is to aid in keeping up with current rules and changes to the rules. Mistakes, omissions, etc. are solely the responsibility of the Authors and not the United Schutzhund Clubs of America. We are presenting these rules as we understand them and to the best of our knowledge. Remember that all judges are human and differ in their vision, priorities, and even in their understanding of the rules. However, the judge's decision is final and there is no appeal process. "What you get is what you get." If we're way off base about something, please let us know. Have you had an experience that might help others? We'd love to hear about it. Can you add some detail to routines, especially something that would be helpful to novices? Email me! |
